i got no power in my garage outlets, bought this for emergency but shortly after, i realized i do use it.. got 1 125ah battery and 1 1,500watt inverter rolling with a 100watt renogy solar panel.. but i only use small stuff like a 200watt ego lawn mower battery charger (slower charger).. if 100% charged, will charge 2 5.0ah batteries and 1 2.5ah battery.. but does drain battery to 12.1 volts then takes a few days to charge up fully.. we need more sun in new york ! lol, im not sure if thats damaging the battery or not going down to 12.1 volts, but i do plan to order another 125ah battery so that i dont drain to a low voltage.. im impressed!!!! 100watt renogy solar panel isnt a state of the art $20,000 panel… no its a cheap $100 panel and charges this battery that charges my ego lawn mower and actually keeps up mowing the grass no problem! i do the grass once a week but with this solar setup, i can do it easy once every 3 days!

We have been using 3 of these as the house battery bank for our 4×4 type-2 ambulance conversion. Before we installed them in our battery box, I dropped one out of the ambulance right onto its corner. It chipped off a small piece of plastic, and I wanted to make sure they were still safe to use, as I have very little experience with AGM batteries. I contacted VMax Tanks directly with some photos of my blunder, and they were extremely helpful, reassuring me that the battery was safe to use, while advising that I seal the chip to prevent long term loss of moisture and potentially decreased life. Top notch support. Our setup:The 3 battery bank is currently hooked up to a Renogy 40A charge controller on the *sealed acid battery* setting, which best matched the recommended charging rates. It’s also connected to the old Xantrex FleetPower 2000 charger/inverter that came with the unit, which we left on its “flooded battery” setting, since it is much closer to the target charging rates than its “gel battery” setting, and never attempts to equalize the batteries without manual intervention (which should NEVER be done to AGM batteries). It is also capable of receiving charge from our dual alternators (through an isolator) which is regulated at a constant 14.3 volts. We can manually disconnect the batteries from the isolator, which is important in the very unlikely scenario that we seriously drain the house batteries (beyond what we ever should) and need to drive before the solar has had time to recharge the house batteries at all. With a low internal resistance, deeply discharged AGM’s are subject to charging more rapidly than their ratings if placed on a charger that is only voltage regulated and capable of supplying more current than the bank’s max charging current (our banks is charge-rated at 90A total, while our alternators are capable of delivering 220A).

Perfect for powering off grid cabin.Using CREE led light bulbs, a ceiling fan and a 600W/1000W peak pure sine inverter all charged with a single renogy 100w panel and I am good to go. System has worked perfectly for a year now. Will upgrade to a larger inverter to prevent fan from kicking on and off when load gets a little high. Also plan on adding another battery so I can be a little more reckless with power usage. So nice to walk in cabin and hit switch and have lights after years of white gas lanterns. Using it right now to power broadband and laptop as I write this review.

Great battery. Replaced the two wimpy wet cell batteries that came on our new motorhome with two of the Vmaxtanks 125ah batteries. Went from a house bank of 120ah to a robust 250ah house bank. First trip was to a campground with no facilities. Our site was semi shaded and first day was mostly cloudy so the solar panels were not much help day two and three were in the fog all day. We watched tv, made coffee, ran the toaster and dried hair using the inverter. Battery voltage on fourth morning was still a robust 12.4 volts. With sun our battery bank should have received enough from the solar panels to have kept a full charge. These are heavy expensive batteries and the quality makes them a great choice for a robust system.

2 batteries for 3 years on board a camper van and they are finally starting to give out. We have not been nice to these batteries. They are utilized 100% off grid and mostly off-road, attached to 320watts of solar in Oregon. It’s not really sunny here, if you didn’t know that. We’ve stored them underneath the van, outside on a tray.In short. We do not treat these batteries well, but they keep on ticking. They have been cycled over and over and drained below the 11.7 amp threshold multiple times. Had them in -0 temperature multiple times in Wyoming and Colorado. They are finally starting to show wear, not holding a charge like they used to. I can’t find room to complain. I just looked underneath and they are caked with mud and covered in grime from streams, dirt roads, you name it.I’m going to replace them with the same. The cost of lithium is still a little to high and these batteries work hard. If I can get another 3 years, that’s over $1k for 6 years of service. Maybe by then, Lithium prices will have come to there senses.

Bought eight of these for a whole-house solar system with battery backup. Purchased another one for an emergency backup solar system at a different location. Superior performance than others, and American-made.

Amazing battery! I’ve been using two of these for 2 years now on our camper with a modest 200W solar setup. I love the capacity and the price + FREE SHIPPING! I also read that AGM batteries charge faster than standard batteries, but I really didn’t believe it as I figured charging rate must be dictated by the device charging them rather than the battery itself, but I’m starting to think what I read is right. They seem to fully recharge faster than the standard RV deep cycle batteries I’ve used before. Not exactly the most scientific review at this point, just a gut feeling but so far that is good enough for me.

Just got my 3 batteries installed with 500W of solar. Everything is working perfectly. Batteries arrived at about 90% charged, and I didn’t use them until the solar was all hooked up and the charge reached 100%. I’m very happy with these. If I have any trouble in the future, I’ll update!EDIT: Almost six months in, and these are still working great! I’ve had no issues whatsoever. I run our entire tiny house off of these batteries. That’s enough to run our lights, charge our laptops, run my CPAP, 3 fans, a water pump, charge phones, and a 12v fridge. With our current power consumption, we drain about 10% overnight (with 3 of these batteries). Anyone making their own setup should calculate out their own energy consumption, but I just wanted to give a reference point. I love these batteries. I’m very happy with them. I set them up and haven’t had to mess with them one time. Again, if any issues ever arise, I’ll update.

This battery is crazy dense which makes me feel like it has a tremendous storage capacity. I jump started a 10 cylinder ford E450 with it which felt pretty impressive. I hooked it up to a solar panel. Basically I have absolutely no reason not to give it 5 stars, it’s done everything I’ve tried to do with it and it’s maintenance free 🙂

This is a REAL review. I never review products before using them for a substantial amount of time.Used this in my travel trailer off grid for 4 straight days. It is a solid powerful battery that REALLY delivers 125 amp hours. Towed it for 4 hours and it was fully recharged. Then spent 3 more days off grid. I watched my amp draw carefully but this battery delivers what it promises. Plenty of juice for the fan, lights, charging my phone and even my WIFI antenna. Never dropped below 60% charge. It is heavy! But it is TRUE. I had a question on Friday night at 6:00 PM. Called Vmaxtanks support. They answered without waiting. Answered my questions expertly with no “fluff”. Everything about this product and company is TRUE. How refreshing! USA company. Highly recommended.
