I will be living in the winter mountains in my RV, so I have two of these systems to cover my you know what. I rather be covered with a double reliable solar system than covered in snow! I don’t just live in the mountains the mountains live in me! Stay-in alive is the object! A.K.A. Fishinrod

This Renogy 400 Watt Monocrystalline Solar kit is great. It charges my 400ah battery bank in just about 4 or 5 hours and also charges good when it is cloudy out. I got this kit to save on my electric bill and I run my TV’s, gaming systems, lights, refrigerator,. ect. It is real nice when the power goes out due to storms and you still have power to run your stuff. I recommend these for anyone that is looking for a good quality solar kit.

I love this solar kit. It runs my freezer and electric livestock fence for now. I’ll add more as I have time. It’s complete, easy to set up, and does the job. The only difficulty I’ve had was with the screws that hold the wires from solar panels into the charge controller. The screws don’t hold the wires tight, so I added duct tape for now. I’ve seen other reviews that mention problems with these same screws. Other than that, it’s a great system. I’m running it as a 24 volt system and adding a wind turbine later. Have 400 amp hours in 4 batteries.

I bought the 400 watt kit for my dad’s RV and both of us have been impressed. Given the heat of the Arizona summers, we had the local RV dealer take care of the installation. Since we have had them, we have yet to run out of power and they keep the (2) 6v (wired in series for 12v) batteries charged without issue. We can run an inverter for the TV and my dad’s massage chair with power to spare!

Unbelievable easy to install! The only hard thing was deciding where to run my wires so they would be out of sight and have the least chance for water leakage. Once that was decided, it was a piece of cake. The only negative is that the kit should have included a 4 way connector to connect all the panels https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B4ZM8Y8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and fuses from panels to the controller and the controller to the battery. I’m producing over 15 amps of power with full sunlight and recharging my 2 house batteries in my motorhome in very little time….about an hour when starting at 35%. I also added the bluetooth module which is pretty cool to be able to check everything with the app.

Using these with a 4 100AH AGM batteries in a self converted RV/campervan. Have them setup with parallel connectors which you will have to buy separately.Works excellent, keeps the batteries topped off. Ussually run a diesel heater, roof vent, 12v fridge, LED lights, charging devices, and have a 1500w inverter.Setup and wiring is mad easy, but make sure to fuse it between the panels and controller.Going to need the watertight drop box to bring the wires inside from the roof.Highly recommend a 12v battery shunt/meter for a better view on your batteries power status; as the battery % meter on the solar controller is pretty useless. Ussually leave the controller on the daily Amps created view, and watch battery status on the shunt meter.Overall really happy with it, nothing but reliable, and has not left me needing more power. Heck, ussually pulling in an amp or so even on cloudy/rainy days. Can make it 2-3 days without any sun before I need to charge the batteries with my engine. The indicator lights can be useful, but they are too bright so I covered them in electrical tape.

I now have a total of 10 of these panels. On sunny days it will fully charge my 1600ah battery bank by 11:00. When it’s cloudy, it still does a good job with charging.Update: I added an additional 12 panels (total 2200 watts), converted to 2- 24 vdc systems with a total of 16- golf cart batteries (8 each system), installed 2- Aims pure sine wave inverters connected to my home breaker box. I now have enough power to run my house. I can even run a window air conditioner on sunny days. …and, no power company!Update: I installed a 400 watt system to power my well.Update: I added an additional 400 watts to the system on my house. I now have a total of 2600 watts for my house and 400 watts for my well. At this time I don’t see the need for any additional panels. What I need now is more batteries.

When I got my first Renogy 400 watt Solar Kit from Amazon, a few months ago, i was impressed with the quality solar kit. The panels are sleek and i like the data on the back panel. The MPPT/40 Amp, is the brain of the unit. Hook up your battery cables first to it, then your solar panels, and watch it collect solar Photons! Amazing and how exciting. In fact, they are so beautiful and rugged, I got several of these 400 watt kits and one Renogy 800 watt solar kit. I just recently got my April electrical bill and my KW usage was reduced to 52%. I only had 800 watts then. Now i think i have 2.6 KW solar power! All thanks to Amazon and Renogy!! I recently bought 2 x 500 watt wind generators from yes, Amazon at a great price. Now i have an interesting Hybrid Wind-Solar System. I’m trying to reduce my carbon footprint and be the custodian of Earth! Go Green!
