Light weight compared to a lot of crank models. I leave it on the window sill and the charge is always ok so far

I knew this wasn’t a powerful light when I ordered it. Wasn’t looking for power. Was looking for a convenient light to tuck into the pocket of my overalls that would always be ready to go. I don’t use flashlights especially often, and don’t keep batteries in my large powerful light because the tend to corrode. So I have to load the batteries to use it.This crank light will always be there when I need it, like when I’m reading the gas meter in the dark basement. It’s not the sort of light that you would want to walk along a forest trail on a dark night, though it would work for that if you needed it to. It puts out plenty of light for indoor work. The plastic is a hard brittle type that might crack if it falls several feet onto a concrete floor. But lights don’t stand up well to that sort of treatment anyway. The crank runs smoothly and seems to be robust enough to last. The light is comfortable in my hand. The carbine hook seems sturdy and is likely to prove handy. I have some questions about the circuitry that charges the battery, wondering what sort of battery is in there, and if it charges in a healthy way, because I’m guessing the energy storage component will prove to be the weak point. All in all, this is exactly what I expected it to be, so five stars.

There’s nothing not to like about this little wonder, its brighter then any flash light I’ve ever used, not heavy and cumbersome just right to hold in my hand, seeing I have small hands I use it for finding things in my kitchen, my pantry/ lazy- susan under cupboards, I’m sure I’ll find more uses for my “little wonder” this is a good buy. Thank you!!!

A little solar panel on one side powers it up.. OR crank the handle on the other side. I got one set and gave the blue one to my son. He liked it so well I bought another set and will give one to my other children and grandchildren! I love that it’s light weight and has a clip on it to attach it to clothing or a backpack, or use when camping.. best part is it doesn’t require batteries.. So if there’s a power outage and we’re sitting in the dark.. even if it’s not powered up with the solar panel.. I can crank it a bit and have light as needed! They are pretty durable too.

Great rechargeable small flashlight. Easy to crank or solar charge and puts out a good amount of light, especially in an emergency situation. Fits nicely in the palm of your hand or clipped onto something. I will be purchasing several more for family members.

I have ordered these flashlights in the past and ordered them again this year to include in the Christmas shoebox out reach. I love the fact that they are lightweight. Love that they are easily clipped onto a belt or a belt loop. Love that it is solar chargeable and or handcrank a bowl. Illuminates the need for batteries. For some of these flashlights will end up they may not have access to batteries or financial ability to purchase them. The light is not as bright as I would like but for the price I feel it is adequate. I will continue to buy these Little flashlights.

Love the colors, love the ability to teach about solar power and renewable energy. Also love the fact that they are not blindingly bright, it may be a downfall for some but it saves me when my kid invariably forgets to not shine it at faces. I can still see because I have hidden Dad’s high powered LED flashlights from the wee ones. The pack was nice because we each have a flashlight of our own for camping and the kids will never be out of batteries. I took off stars for durability because it seems obvious to me that a good emergency flashlight should be waterproof ( floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, fishing and camping?) but as for complaints, that’s all I’ve got.

I am an occupational therapist . I purchased this for a patient of mine who needed a brush up on her low vision training . Her blindness is progressing . As light is so important to her and I found that her flashlights had corroded batteries (she can’t change the batteries) I searched on Amazon and to my delight, I found this . This flashlight doesn’t need batteries! The crank is ideal and the solar feature is genius! With the LEDs, it’s so much brighter than the repetitive squeeze one , made in Russia, that I purchased about 20 years ago. I bought 2: one for her and one for me.

We are amongst the PG&E customers whom have lost power several times recently. This flashlight came in very handy when we didn’t want to run the batteries down in our regular LED flashlights. I feel safer knowing I will always have at least some light when I need it with the crank style flashlight. It gave off quite a bit if light for a good amount of time after a short time cranking it. It also seemed to charge by putting it near candlelight a little, but don’t quote me on that 🙂 The solar charge seems to hold quite well too. The second day, I put it in the sun for 1/2 a day and it powered up a full day later with no cranking needed.

It works as expected and I look forward to using it in an upcoming trip to Africa. I think the solar charging feature will be a real plus.
