These bulbs are great. They are not nearly as delicate as the first Compact Fluorescents(CFL) I bought, some of which broke in transit. They replace incandescent bulbs, saving 70% of the electric power. This one bulb replaces my reading light so that my entire room is lit for 13W.Be careful to select ‘soft white’ though. If you get a normal CFL, being fluorescent, you will have too harsh(white, blue) an environment for normal home life.My previous CFL lasted 8 years; this meant they repaid my investment many times over. At the current prices, you’d be crazy not to replace those hot, wasteful incandescents(tech from 1890) for modern CFL’s(tech from today)…

Light bulbs. They light up the room. And they do it quite adequately. I would recommend to anyone sitting in the dark.

The color on these bulbs is *perfect*… not too yellow and not too blue. I was disappointed in some CFL and LED bulbs that I had bought until I did more research into color temps. I bought these after much research and they look great! I plan on buying more in this range (3500K).(Note: I haven’t had them very long and cannot comment on their durability, etc, but I will add to this review if there are any problems in the future.)

Nice replacement bulbs, these are a little bit shorter in total length than a standard bulb in your typical ceiling. Which works great if you have a light cover/diffuser that’s a fixed size and normal bulbs are either a very tight fit (like my old ones were) or didn’t fit at all…These bulbs alleviated that issue. WIll buy again when needed

I recently bought new lamps for my living room. This northern state is cold and darkish in the winter months and I wanted to add a feeling of warmth to the room. These CFL’s give a warmer light than the LED’s they replaced.

I’ve used various brand CFLs over the years and have come to find that the Philips tend to last the longest. Also, they are quick to come on and have a good soft-white output. These are the only CFLs I buy.

A few of my ceiling light fixtures have a dome cover and the regular size CFL bulbs I normally buy are too big. They are 5 inches long and touch the dome. At only 3.8 inches long, these work perfectly in those dome fixtures. I don’t see any difference in color or the amount of light these put out verses the 5 inch bulbs. I’m a happy customer. Would recommend!

These bulbs appear to work great so far. Packaging was durable, so all four arrived intact and on-time. I ordered them because we have been using CFL lightbulbs for a number of years and have seen a drastic reduction in the electric bill as a result (by half the first year alone!) Have replaced every possible fixture with a CFL bulb when possible, including hallways, bathrooms and closets.

At the time of this review, the product name is partly incorrect. These are not 75W equivalent bulbs; they are 60W, which matches what the official product photos show. Basically, I got exactly what is shown in the product photo.I’m not sure why some reviewers have said that these are super bright and give off a blue hue. Maybe this product got mixed up with another product. That said, what I received is soft(/warm) white and it is as bright as what can be expected at 60W. More specifically, the light is yellow-ish and very much like a traditional 60W incandescent light bulb in my opinion.

My main aim was to find lights that don’t give a hideous yellow tint to the room, but are not so white-hot-bright that they hurt my eyes. I prefer dim settings, but obviously need SOME light at some points in my life. I once used these to provide camera lighting, which if you don’t know, require VERY bright lighting. But again, on a standard ceiling fan they aren’t overbearing.Just one gives off that yellow tint, in my 24X12 studio, but four make it nice and white without making me squint my eyes on initial power-on.I can’t speak for the longevity, but they seem like they’re gonna last for quite a while. Most “energy-efficient” bulbs tend to last years anyways. I’ve also been using the same style bulbs for years now, so I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference on my energy bill.
