This collects water from my downspouts and I don’t have anymore flooding on my back hill. I then use what’s collected to water my plants!!!

Happy I selected this Barrel as it doesn’t look like a trash can under the downspout. It is very sturdy and is easy to set up. Has a nice bottom drain needed for freeze zones. I only wish they made a larger one, maybe 80-100 gallons.Suggestion: cut a piece of screen wire the size of the round top and place under the top. Keeps insects out and the small leaves as well.In the winter I divert the downspout away from the barrel as the bottom drain will freeze up. It works best empty in the winter.

The only things I would change are a larger spout for faster draining and place it a little lower on the unitotherwise it is awesome

I’ve had this for 3 years and it works perfectly and looks even better than the photo. With the drought here in California, we’ve been using it to dump our bath/shower water into as an impromptu grey water system. You do need to elevate this to make the water flow. Have had many complement (from those who notice it – it really blends in with the landscape.)

This is fantastic. I researched so many and each had at least one complaint, either the connections had to be replaced, leaking, bulging, etc., etc. When I found this, no critical comments, all good. I received it, cute the way it is delivered, big plastic bag, take home, set out and ready to go. Nothing to do, sits level, works great. I do not have gutters, but the water comes off the roof and hits the opening perfectly, used the faucet to fill bucket, worked great. No leaking, stable sitting on grass, though I will place it on stones to raise it up and allow better flow. Very pleased and printed the information off and gave to my new neighbors, they are going to purchase one. Color is good, have gray siding, this coordinates.

We have purchased three different styles of rain barrels. This one is, by far, the most attractive and the best designed of the three. The top is easily removed to check the water level or to clean it out. The flat top will hold a small plant if you want to put one there. The faucet is already attached and is a good level to fill a container. There is also an outlet for a hose at the lowest level of the rain barrel so it can be drained completely.

  7. D. BASIN

It is huge! It looks great, so much so guests we had over did not even realize it was plastic. So far its been working great and filled up with water in a week. The water does splash around a lot coming right on top of it, but I am using it without a gutter or rain chain just placed it on some pavers in a corner of the house where a lot of rain pours down. I think it will look even better with a rainchain which i want to add later.

I just got it set up waiting for the rain

bought this 4 years ago and it has held up well. Use it to water the flowers in the front of the house. Only had to fill it up during our drought 2 years ago. Not for drinking water but helps with having to drag the water hose to the front of the house.to water

  10. Darleen J. Raulerson

I researched the many different rain barrels available and became overwhelmed, but kept returning to this one. We were placing it in front of our home and wanted something attractive that would not distract. When it arrived, I was taken back by the color – it is definitely a brown sandstone rather than a gray that is pictured; however, it blends well with our new rock xeriscaping and I am pleased. Easy to install/set-up. The only problem we had was attaching a new flex spout to our existing downspout. Although the same size, the configuration was different and it took many choice words before we got it on and secure. How does it work? EXACTLY like you want. It is wonderful… We added a bilge hose to the overflow valve and that waters an extra plant. Easy to use and we will probably purchase another one for the back yard. Please note – the hose attachment on the bottom is in the FRONT not in the back – an annoyance, but not enough to make a big difference. Will review again in a year…
