I followed the instructions for a full intial charge. I haven’t needed to recharge it since. The light is brighter than most LED flashlights when using the high setting and the low setting is good for most applications. The price is very reasonable. I have a number of different flashlights but this would be the first choice if I had only one choice.

Very good flashlight to keep in a kitchen or camp so you know you have a working flashlight if you need it. I put mine in the window so it stays fully charged.

I keep mine on our bathroom windowsill where it gathers light almost all day. So far the Hybridlight always lights up whenever I need it. I keep it handy in the bathroom in case there’s a power outage. We have a couple more older units in other parts of our house and they all continue to work fine.

I bought this flashlight about 2 months ago. I really liked it, but yesterday it stopped working. i had been putting in my window sill every night in the evening, and every night after it worked well. Nice and bright, no problems. Yesterday, when I went to use it, there was no light. Nothing. I tried charging it with USB, and there is still no light…I will go back to battery flashlights until I can find a more reliable solar flashlight.

It’s bright, lasts a long time on a single charge, pretty durable and is really well made. Dropped it several times accidentally the first day I used it at work. Fell onto pavement when getting out of the truck and also fell down a set of attic stairs and it showed no signs of coming apart. Hybridlight makes a great product. I have one of their first models that was only 15 lumens and was solar charge only but also took those small flat batteries the size of a quarter. That’s been over 5 years ago and it’s still working great so if this light is anything like their older ones I expect it to last quite some time. It can also be used to charge your phone as long as the flashlight battery is above 20%. For this price it’s absolutely worth it because I use 3 AAA batteries every three days in my other light for work and this one recharges by just sticking it in the dash while driving or using the USB cable provided (micro USB in case anyones wondering)

This is a lot of light packed into a small package. The flashlight has two brightness. The lower brightness I use for walking the dog at night and the higher brightness I use to see in the distance so I can see if anything dangerous is near. It is extremely bright. The flashlight is small so I can put it in my pocket and I can charge it in the sunlight if I take it camping with me. This is a great light.

The HybridLight is very light weight, because of not having batteries. It charges to full fairly quickly with the USB cable and having Solar charging is a great backup. It’s bright enough for “close work” on the lowest setting and very bright on high, when fully charged anyway.I used it to charge my iPhone 7 and it went from 85% to 100% charged in about 20 minutes. Once the phone was charged I connected the USB cable to recharge the flashlight and it charged to 100% in about 5 minutes.I purchased 13 more for gifts and believe they will be happy with the HybridLight.

This is my second flashlight from these guys. My first one is the older model with less lumens and that has held up for over 3 years. The new model is brighter and works as expected. I love that it charges quickly and holds its charge so well. I love that I can use it to charge my phone as well. Durable, bright, and wonderfully priced, no complaints here!!

I’ve been going for the rechargeables lately to try and save the planet by not dumping so many batteries into landfills. This is a fantastic flashlight. You can charge it with solar, but the bottom also allows for standard USB recharging so that’s good. The LED is great quality. I just wanted to have a good flashlight on hand for when the power goes, since my household tends to hog the flashlights and I don’t like candles as the fire with my spastic cat makes me nervous. I was torn between this one and the pricier MagLite. MagLite is made in the US, and these aren’t (for shame), but MagLite also relies on batteries and there were some issues I saw regarding the quality of those units. I wanted something rechargeable (MagLite offers rechargeable batteries, but I didn’t want to take the hit in light quality), so I went with this one. The solar panel up top allows you to recharge it by laying it on a windowsill for a time, but also… you can use the USB to charge it, which is what I do since it’s winter and there’s less daylight to go around. Either way, great investment. I like the yellow color, which sticks out in my purple tote bag’s dark depths. Just a good idea, and I do carry it with me everyday as a “just in case” type thing, since it’s brighter than my Keysmart’s tiny pen light and would be good in an emergency. :)Long story short: if you’re torn between flashlights, get this one as the MagLite is having some quality issues based on current Amazon reviews. (That does suck, as I wanted a purple flashlight, but I’d rather have a bright one that’s dependable, and rechargeable through solar and USB than one that’s just in my favorite color but has little else going for it.)

I bought this unit to take apart and use to modify a house number sign, but I fell in love with it as I tried it out before cannibalizing it for parts. The low beam is as good as a normal flashlight, and the high beam is phenomenal for range. I think it’s a joke that there is a reflector around the LED! LEDs emit light in a controlled beam and don’t require a reflector to collect all the sideways and backward light from an incandescent bulb. I haven’t tried the solar recharge yet, but I can tell you that the inside is filled with electronic components, so some complex engineering went into this unit. Now I’ve got to pick another model to cannibalize.
