Just what I need. Works great (so far). Battery life seems good, easy to see screen, gets me all the data I want when out for a hike or bike ride. Altitude, elevation gain, distance, time, you can save a favorite spot, save a trip/workout. Not too bulky and looks ok. Heart rate monitor working good, didn’t really think I needed it but really like it for monitoring how hard I am pushing.

I tried 3 different Garmin watches Vivoactieve 4, Phoenix 6 and Instinct Solar. Out of these 3 Instict Solar was the best value for your money. Great battery life even with the Pulse Ox on. If you are not looking for a smart watch, but for a adventure watch with some smart features this is the watch to buy. Also if you are tight on budget and don’t care about the pulse ox, instinct is also worth checking out.

This watch did everything I needed and wanted. The addition of solar charging really helps battery life and makes it much more sustainable in the Backcountry.
