It had just arrived 6 hours before hurricane Eta hit hard our area and hence there was just enough time to charge the power station before the power went out. With this station we have been able to ‘survive’ the evening (power-wise) to have enough power for emergency light, charge all our equipment and even watch local tv (with HD antenna) for some time. It’s even so powerful that we can use the hair dryer. It supports also all kind of USB output from 2.4A at 5V and all the Quick Charge options up to 12V on USB-A and even up to 20V with PD at USB-C. It came with all the needed cables to charge for solar, 110, and car. So glad I ordered that last minute and many thanks to Amazon to make the deliver happen even during the storm.

I was on an important Zoom call this afternoon when we lost power due to a severe thunderstorm. Thankfully, I had bought one of these EcoFlow River 600 Power Stations a week before, and had already fully charged it up to perform some testing of it. What better test than to put it in a real world situation! In less than 5 minutes I was able to connect my computer, monitor, and networking equipment up to this power station and jump back on the Zoom call, which lasted another 45 minutes or so. My entire team was impressed with how quickly I was able to re-join as if nothing happened. If I had thought ahead (with the advanced knowledge of the severe thunderstorm warning) I could have pre-configured this to act as a UPS, and I wouldn’t have gone down at all.As to the specifics of the power station itself, I am highly impressed. The first thing that impressed me is how fast this power station charges. I plugged it in with the included AC cord (standard IEC cord) and it was fully charged barely an hour later! I love that it can be recharged so fast with just an AC cord, no separate power supply required. I haven’t tried DC/solar charging yet, but I love having that option as well, and love that it uses a standard XT60 plug in case I need to create my own charging cables for any reason. The included charging cables (Solar/Car) seem to be of high quality 14 AWG wire (although not the super flexible silicone wire). The other thing that impressed me is how smooth the AC output power is. This is an impressive inverter, that no only produces a true sine wave, but also has the ability to power heavier appliances than would normally be possible. My desktop computer seems to like this pure sign wave power much better than the modified sine wave inverter that my previous DIY power station produces. The Smart app was easy to install (listed on the Google Play Store) and connect. It required holding down the IOT reset button for a few seconds and then connecting my phone to the presented WiFi signal so the app could configure the River 600 to connect into my home network. Once connected to my home network the app presented with all sorts of monitoring data and control options. Pretty much anything (and then some) that can be viewed or done on the unit itself can be viewed or changed in the app.I also love the light weight and portability of this device, with its convenient carrying handle and durable exterior. I can easily see bringing this along on various trips to use as a central power hub for recharging various devices and powering small appliances. The run-time is highly dependent on what kind of power is being drawn by the devices/appliances, but is pretty reasonable for something this size/weight. I am contemplating getting the extra batter to double the runtime. I really like that informative display that shows at a glance the current charge %, hours/minutes remaining for charge or discharge, and incoming/outgoing power draw. One other feature worth mentioning is the DC output ports seem to be regulated to behave like a true vehicle’s alternator. So, instead of just outputting whatever the internal battery voltage is at, it outputs around 13.6V at all times. This is very helpful for running certain external appliances that are tuned for normal car DC voltages that prefer more than the nominal 12V.So far the only potential issue I have with this power station is the fan noise that is audible whenever the unit is charging or the AC inverter is turned on. It seems to run at full speed regardless of charge/discharge current, even when I turned on the quiet mode in the app. Possibly something is wrong with my particular unit, but that may be something to keep in mind if expecting super quiet operation.Overall, I am really happy with this power station, and think that everyone should consider getting one for emergencies and convenience.

With ski season almost here, and our RV ready to park near the slopes, it’s yet again time for us to consider ways to avoid using our loud and inefficient propane generator. Ecoflow 600 to the rescue.Last year, we purchased a high-powered portable power station, and it has been great! I use that one at the back of the RV to recharge phones, laptops, and even run an electric blanket. But our portable power needs continue to grow. We’ve added electric blanket for the front sleeping area, have kids with laptops, etc. Another issue we noticed over the summer? We purchased a 12v pump for our inflatable paddleboards, and our current power box cuts out. Finally, when we’re not using the RV I like to keep a power station in each of our vehicles. So I needed a box that is “beast mode” capable. I’ve found it.Where to even begin? I purchased the auxiliary battery (highly recommended) and I was actually able to power a portable heater…without tripping this thing up at all. The pure sine wave inverter in this thing is incredibly capable. We’re talking hours and hours of runtime here for even heavy loads. It’s seriously impressive on this frontSo here are the positives: – It comes with all the cables you’ll really need. 12v to recharge the box? Yep. Solar cables? Yep. I also like that there’s no external power brick for recharging this thing. You just plug in the three prong cable and it recharges in around an hour.- Simple interface- Power. Loads and loads of power.- 100w USB-C output (yes!!!)- Looks greatDownsides:- It’s pretty heavy, especially with the auxiliary battery attached- The LED charging indicator is really cool…unless you’re recharging this thing at night. I’m still trying to determine if there’s a way to turn these lights off, but it’s insanely bright and kind of distracting- The mobile app for android. Why does this even exist? I’ve installed it, but not sure of what it’s really supposed to do- I wish the aux battery could be more easily taken on or off. You need to unscrew the base, attach the battery, then put the base below that. Sometimes I might not need all of that power, and would prefer a lighter setup. For now, I expect I’ll just leave it on permanently.- The fan is rather loud, and seems to keep running even if the box isn’t powering anything and is fully charged.Build quality is very, very solid. This has been thoughtfully designed. Will it be my last power box ever? Highly unlikely. Capacity keeps going up as battery densities increase. But the Ecoflow seems fairly future-proof for the moment.I highly recommend.

I just recently bought the RIVER 600 Max (River 600 solar generator & MAX Extended Battery) and was able to take it out to a local park, which is the closest I could get to camping until my postponed camping trip gets here in December. In the meantime, it’s been super helpful to be able to power so many of my own personal electronics. I’ve been able to run my small electric fan, along with having the ability to charge my laptop, metal detector, GoPro Hero 9, and my 30,000mAh power bank. Being able to run USB (or standard) LED lights, charge my headlamp, or bring a fan to the beach for the day… makes this solar generator a priceless addition to our outdoor, camping & emergency supplies! I’m so impressed by this product that I’ll definitely be looking into getting the larger EcoFlow Delta 1300 and 110W solar panel to give our family even more backup power options!

Wow, first interactions are extremely positive. The app works exactly as intended. This device is everything a portable power station should be. It is capable of charging very quickly in a plethora of ways, it is uber flexible and upgradable (both software and the battery can be expanded).

So far working great, I ordered the echoflow 600 with out the battery, then ordered the extra battery a few days later. Been having trouble getting the app to work on my phone but echoflow has been very responsive.UPDATE: Received the extra storage battery, installed and charged. It only adds a small amount of thickness and weight to the unit but also doubles the power. Been using it in my 13′ scamp for powering a few Led lights, radio, small space heater and has been working great. Love how fast it will charge off a 12volt or 120 volt.

Due to the dumpster fire of 2020, our family decided to get the basics to prepare for an emergency. We chose this model of power station because of ease of charge, length that it stays charged, ability to add a battery (which we did) and the fact that this company uses recycled materials in their products. The station has a fast charging port for USB, 2 regular charging ports, car charger port, a 100 watt usb-c 100 watt port. In addition to all of these ports, it has 3 ports for standard plug ins and MOST IMPORTANTLY, an eco fan for the inverter (This keeps the system from overheating). If you buy the solar panels, it even has the ability to charge with the sun! Not only can you add a solar panel but you can link two of these bad boys up together for massive power. The station comes with Mc-4 cords to charge with the solar panels, a standard wall charger and a Lighter cable for the car. There is a super bright light on the front with S.O.S. option, light only or off. The front display shows input watts, output and power level on a very easy to read digital display. After choosing this charging station and using it, we will be buying more as Christmas gifts. My mother will be receiving the next one we buy so that she can use this for her sleep apnea machine when the power is out in the winter time. I will also be giving my daughter one for her car so that I know she is covered in an emergency. With the extra battery, the machine weighs 17 pounds. Some reviews state that it is heavy but none of my family complained of this at all. This powerhouse charger will be going camping with us as well as down to the cellar during tornado season. The only thing I would add is a tiny slot to put all of the chargers in. We just use a little bag to hold them all in and attached it to the handle. One last thing that I forgot to add is that this station has the added benefit of an app. While I don’t usually bother with extra apps, this is VERY handy to have. The app will notify you when the charge is low. This helps immensely, as I’m not constantly worried that it will be dead when we need it most! The app controls boost and light color as well as all of the important readings it displays on the front. For our needs we chose to invest a little extra into getting the added battery. Everything you need to attach the extra battery, as well as the instructions, come all packaged together. It takes about three minutes from start to finish to add the battery. Remember that you need to add the original base back on to the battery bottom in order for everything to fit right! This is a big investment for a lot of people right now but the peace of mind in knowing we will still be able to use our phones, laptops, electric kitchen devices as well as a medically necessary sleep apnea machine make this product worth every penny. The box is packaged extremely well and arrived without a scratch! Thank you, eco flow for putting my mind at ease during these crazy times!

Our family camps, a lot, in a tent. Anyone who has kids and camps remotely knows that a rainy day with 2 kids in a small tent can be rough, so we were hoping to be able to run a tablet at least. This power pack is wonderful! I received it charged at 30% and it took about 1.5hrs to finish charging from the outlet at home. To test it out, we charged the chromebook from 4%, 2 google phones (both under 10%) and I blow dried my hair with the pack. Y’all, it’s still at 32% battery! So for camping and charging a tablet on a rainy day, it’s 💯 approved. It’s a little heavy, but sturdy! The casing seems tough and like it can handle a drop or two. I also really like how we can charge it with solar, so we will probably be getting one of the solar attachments soon to keep this bigger running on the 10 day trips!

Great build quality, ergonomic handle bar, easy to move it around.I found it very useful in my customized camera cart thanks to its compact size, when doing Amazon Live Streaming, keeping laptop, camera, lighting systems charged at all times, without having to plugin to a wall outlet.Going cordless is such a great experience and made my workflow a lot easier — There is only one device to charge, everything else can be powered from this power bank.More details:The fan on the right turns as soon as the AC charging starts (I measured 250W max, 110W when set to “quiet charging” mode via phone App.)There are USB A ports + one 100W PD port in front, I wasn’t able to max out the 100W load due to the limited power draw of my MacBook Pro 13” (measured 45W max). I currently do not have a device that takes PD port with such high power draw so I think the 100W PD output is going to be more than enough for most use case. There are 3 AC ports in the back but I void using AC ports, not because they are bad but DC is simply more efficient and less conversion loss.In other words, if the laptop / small electronics has the option to use PD /USB port, then use them, and avoid plugin their own AC chargers. If there ports are not enough, I can always plugin a 12v car charger to the 12v socket and get extra 1 PD + 2 USB ports, depending on the 12 charger I have at hand. With 100W solar panel I was able to get 50W solar input power with the included cable (winter, Nov 2020)There is an important catch, users be aware:When charging via solar, make sure to set SOC level to 100%, or it may limit the input to around 7W.I hope the app or firmware can be updated to make this impact more obvious.Overall its hardware and software design is very sophisticated and performed very well in all my testings.

Review update: I was able to hook up a 5.1A power drill, a vacuum, and tire compressor at the same time, no issues. The PEAK POWER refers to the sudden burst of energy needed, not continuous use, so you’re limited to 600w for all 3 outlets at once, not 600w x 3 as originally thought. Still, it can run a lot of power tools! As a professional photographer, I’ve wanted something like this for decades. I’m always hunting for outlets, stretching extension cords, and reliant on the power (or lack of) from the facility where I’m working. Never again! I’ve been using this on shoots for about a week, and have charged my MacBook Pro ~3 times, and my iphone X 7-8 times, and the power level is about 67% (from 100%), in addition to being on standby for a week. I can plug in any device with the 3 600w outlets, or 4 USB outlets (including 100w USB-C). The fact that it has a USB-C is just icing, because now I can charge my iPhone faster than at home (maxes out at 18w).What I love:-1800w of power peak is huge!-Charge to 80% in 1 hour – super fast-288wh + 288wh = 576wh, thats a ton of power-cooling fan ensures long lasting, dependable power-real-time data usage input/output via LCD or smartphone app-flexibility to bring the extra battery or leave at home-looks very professional / good build qualityWhat needs work:-I wish the extra battery pack attached with a quick release instead of screws-A little heavy, but no heavier than anything comparableSummary:If you need power for a long time, this is your gadget. With moderately sized devices and/or small appliances, the amount of power you get is enough to be off the grid for weeks. Some might call it expensive, but if you’re using this for work or if you’re a serious camper this thing is a no brainer. I cant imagine going back to photo shoots without this thing, the peace of mind it provides cant be understated.
