“Necessity is not the mother of invention, invention is the mother of necessity.” These are the words of one of Casio’s founders. The people who created Casio were determined to ‘invent necessity’- to create products that met latent needs with groundbreaking capabilities no one had ever seen before. Ever since, Casio has been doing just that, bringing new discovery and delight to people around the world. This is Casio’s way of building an even more prosperous, richly rewarding world.

With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Utilizing a unique Self-Charging solar power system, this sporty analog/digital combination model provides plenty of functionality. A host of features such as 48-city world time, 5 alarms, stopwatch and dual countdown timers make this a versatile timepiece for almost any sport outing. Glossy black resin band, solar digital analog watch with black/gold face.

I have a habit of hitting objects with my arm as I walk by, always scratching my watch faces. This watch has slightly raised edges, protecting the watch face. This is a really durable, and really comfortable casual watch. The solar power means I never have to worry about replacing batteries. I hope it lasts a long time.

Great functional watch. I love that it’s solar powered and has both an analog face as well as an option for digital on the bottom. My ONLY gripe with this watch is that the digital portion shows one of three things: 1) time, 2) day of the week, 3) month-day…each of those 3 options includes seconds right after. It’s not a huge problem, just a tiny nuisance for when you have one of the above three things showing, but need to see another one, and therefore have to free your hand to cycle through them.Other than that, I love this watch. Very functional and even cool looking.

I don’t have to worry about the replacemant of battery because it powered by solrar pannel. However, I have to find user’s manual from the Casio home page because the letter was so small to read from enclosed manual.

I brought this watch for swimming. It has a nice look to it comfy to wear easy to use and program. Wasn’t expecting much from a lower priced Casio watch so I was pleasantly surprised at the functionality ease of use . It’s solar powered so I’m expecting not to have to change the seal like you normally would when you change batteries in a watch. One of the advantages to having a solar powered watch no batteries to change. So far it’s been waterproof no moisture of any sort when I go swimming. I wear it more often than I originally intended cause it’s so well designed and looks cool. It has a hourly chime That you can easily turn on and off which I love . I was looking to spend 150 bucks or so on a g shock solar powered watch but this was a excellent substitute. Definitely worth the price excellent value!!

The digital screen is so small it’s very hard to read & at night just about impossible but that’s not why I bought it. It’s nice looking & I wanted a regular clock type face with hands. The book that comes with it is pretty much a waste of time since it’s even smaller than the digital face. Go online & type in Casio & the model number with How to set the watch. You set the digital face & the regular clock face sets itself by the digital! The crystal is recessed into the watch about 3/32nds which protects it from getting scratched as bad.

The band is definitely black and not the dark blue shown in the picture. Still a great watch especially for the price.

This is my 4th digital watch. I love them because of their versatility and practicability. The previous one was a Timex which I loved and had to discard because its strap broke (after using for 8 years) and I don’t find a replacement.Pros:1. Solar Powered. Or that’s what they say !! Never having to worry about changing batteries. That has to be a winner right there. Couldn’t get that better. No other good reason to break open the original casing if battery change not required.2. Water resistant. They say good for 100 m. The only time I might be in water is while swimming. That works for me.3. Lightweight. Strap is light too.4. Several Timezones. Very handy as I travel international crossing timezones.Cons:Not many.1. Strap hurt me a little. I am not wearing it too tight either. But it could be just me.2. The analog hands are slightly off. Ever so slightly that I misread time. I am careful now. Wish the hands were 1 mm longer.Nothing else wrong I think! So far it has been working as expected and if continues so, 10 out of 10!

Insanely accurate! I never owned a watch like this, completely worry free! I swim with it, work with it, sleep with it, it’s a must have if you like accurate time keeping.

I have about 5 of these Casio Tough Solar watches. They all have lasted me 2yrs or maybe more. This GunMetal color is added to my collection. They are tough and solar powered! Hoping they last me longer!

I really enjoy this watch. only complaint is when you press the button for the light (to read date) it’s not all that bright. Otherwise fine all around watch.
