LA T E S T U P D A T EYup a great little water heater. With a little understanding of the workings and safeguards I expect it to warm up water for years to come.I have it as hedge against power outages that occur in my area. I also am using it to warm water wash big pups. With a few minor and usual adjustments* this unit is working great. No leaks.Great spark.Fast warm up. – > TIP: Lift water to warm temps +in shifts+ if trying to heat a tank. Incremental thermal rise is real. Learn about it – makes it so easy and economical.*(like: use pipe tape, check filters, use good batteries, fill a known good propane thank – not last year’s ½ left bbq gas)WATCH out: it will get hella H*O*T!Here is an excerpt from the exchange I had with Camplux support:I am not going to return this CHAMP of a water heater. Not today anyway. As I prepared the unit to ship back to Camplux I turned the heater over to remove fittings. There I saw the reason for the critically reduced out-flow.A felted blanket of thick cottonwood puffs that matted the tiny uptake filter. blockage almost totalWe have a pretty good filter on the transfer pump but not as fine as the one on the Camplux heater. After cleaning the filter the heater sprung to life and has been working flawlessly.SO the rating is :KEEPER.5 StarBelow is the text of the ongoing review.)()()()()(This model is a champ… Mine happens to not be working.Camplux is very supportive:currently diligently working with me to get it right. They are very responsive to email. And helpful in their phone support. Will update the review again when I have a working unit.)()()()()()(The spiffy looking compact unit arrived in a timely fashion well packaged.I look forward to using it on the road and at home. While the instruction manual is limited, assembly is fairly straightforward. It is a nice touch that they include pipe tape and most of the washers one may need.Even with those accessories the shower handle will not stop leaking where it connects to the unit.Looking at YouTube videos of similar units is helpful for installation and assembly. And actually I have not gotten it to heat water as of this writing. It may be due to weak propane. But I have not replaced my 1 pound propane tank yet. However, I did contact Camplux and they are willing to take back the unit no questions asked if it does not produce hot water when I change propane tanks. That level of confidence in their product encourages me that I made a good purchase from a reputable company. I will be getting their pump to add to my little set up as soon as it is available.

great product, works so far just as advertised. I will use mine when I do my “trail angel” thing for hikers on the PCT. It’s all mounted on plywood ready to plug and go. Bought a pop us shower enclosure and this whole thing is a blessing to those who can use it.

First, I am truely amazed that these things work at all. All the years I’ve spent camping without hot water? Anyway, I have 2 of these, one is mounted inside, in my log cabin, and piped into 2 sinks and a shower and hot water is amazing, and instantaneous. Second one will be used in our pickup camper, probably hanging outside on a hook with it’s supplied hanger. This kind comes with the propane hose already, very important because my first one did not and it was 4 trips to various gas/hardware stores for suitable parts that fit!

So… we knew when we got it that performance at higher elevations might be iffy, but we got it anyways ’cause hubs really doesn’t like cold showers when dry camping. We used it for five days at 10k feet elevation and 50-55F temps in the early evening and it worked great!

This thing is fantastic…so much luxury for such a small price. NOTE: the hose wand on off button completely controls my water pump. Took me a while to figure out why the pump wasn’t working then I finnallllly figured out it was the wand button…. so just sayin….

I use it to heat my hot tub…once it is up to temperature i can get it back to temp by running the heater about 20-30 minutes. 200 gallons of hot water to soak in while star gazing. I use a transfer pump to run it through the heater, pull it out of the middle, pump it into the bottom.

I bought this tankless heater due to the good reviews and the price. On May 22 our home burned down leaving us homeless other the a camper we had in the back yard for when we had sleepovers. The camper is not hooked up to any sewer line so running water to it would do us no good. It is going to take 3-4 months to get the house livable, since I have outdoor skills, I turned out BBQ area into a wall in shower and a place to do dishes. I am soooo impressed with this tankless heater! Never run out of hot water, the water stays at a nice warm temp and it was easy to hook up. We love it so much we are gonna get a larger unit for the house. Plus now when it’s all said and done, I have a new addition to take camping with me♥️ I am a lady and haven’t had to call tech support for nothing, definitely worth the money♥️

Updated 4th of July 2020: Upgrade to 5 Stars; After used for few weeks. It works perfectly without problems. The other brand would shut off when it’s windy, but not Campus. Appears to be much better quality. The shower head has a much better shut off control knob. I be happy if it last 5 seasons. The previous brand(Ec#@temp) that I had, which only last 1 season. I kept it inside during winter. Smoke came out from the unit during second season.Cost $20 more is worth it.

Say hello to my little friend! If you like hot water on demand just about anywhere you like then this is for you. We have purchased 2 of these in different sizes and neither has failed us.We use ours out in our garden for a claw foot tub. Nothing like a good soak in the garden to relax and rejuvenate you. The bonus is we then use that water for our trees. We plan on taking camping with us. All it needs is a couple of batteries, a small propane tank, a place to hang it up and water. That’s it😀 Turn any camping experience into a glamping experience.I’d buy this water heater again.

This product is awesome. Easy to set up and ready to use. The only thing I didn’t like we’re the plastic quick connects for the intake and out flow. But that was an easy fix. My family and I like taking showers outside more than using the inside shower!!! I even hooked up two shower heads!!!
