Efficient Performance
By bypassing the shaded cells with poor performance, the bypass diode minimizes the power drop caused by the shadow to ensure excellent performance in low-light environments.
Full System Protection
Meant to safeguard your system, the self-diagnostic capability can assess and protect against reverse polarity, battery overcharging, battery over-discharging, overload, short-circuiting, and reverse current.
Auto Detect and Powerful Compatibility
Automatically detects 12V or 24V DC system voltages, and the LCD screen and multiple LED indicators display the solar charging and battery operation information, customizable parameters, and error codes.
Solid Quality
Advanced encapsulation material with multi-layered sheet laminations to protect cells from physical damage or distortion, improving cell performance and providing a long service life.
EL tested, no hot-spot heating is guaranteed.
No Fear of Weather Challenge
The IP65 Junction Box offers complete protection against environmental particles and low-pressure water jets. These IP67 waterproof solar connectors ensure that the water and dust will not enter the connector during extended outdoor use. Effectively preventing water from seeping in.
Ready to Install
Pre-drilled holes on the back frame allow quick installation. The kit has a complete set of accessories and is equipped with an In-line fuse and ANL fuse components to offer more protection.
Note:
- If you choose to connect in parallel, you can use three pairs of Solar Y Branch Connectors to connect four panels in two by two, and then parallel again; do not use an in-line fuse in parallel circuits.
- If you choose to connect in series, you do not need to use Solar Y Branch Connectors in the kit, but you can use an in-line fuse in the circuit.

I bought this for my RV. Contains the basic components. Be prepared to purchase a few cheap bits and pieces to complete your specific job. Performs great from early dawn and will run our fridge all day and our furnace all night, plus a few lights etc. and an occasional few minutes of microwave. The MPPT controller is worth the extra $$. MPPT versus PWM is a recommended read.Hint: And I secured the panels to my roof four months ago with VHB tape from another supplier, and for good measure covered the brackets with self levelling lap sealant. 6,000 miles later they are still firmly attached. No worries.

I put a 400 watt system like this on my last travel trailer. I lived in it full time, dry camping, for 18 months. I almost never had to run my generator except to run the micro-wave on real cloudy days. If you add an inverter to the system along with this solar unit you can save a lot of hours and fuel for your generator.I am anxious to get this new one mounted on my 5th wheel that I just got.

I have just started to explore using solar power and this is a great kit to get you started. Enough power to do stuff with, I am running my PC with it and I am really happy. Got a Renogy AGM 12 V to go with it, will probably go LiFePo4 next. I have had questions about my battery and the charge controller programming. Renogy has replied to all my emails within a few days and they know their stuff.

Installed on roof of a 41ft fifth wheel. Installation was straightforward, although I did a lot of research before purchasing and installing. The kit makes it a no-brainer for needed equipment. Glad that I had purchased 2-20’ solar cable extensions so I had flexibility of panel location as well as roof penetration for solar cables. Have not yet used off grid but am looking forward to seeing how my batteries will hold up with a residential refrigerator and the 400W system. Will be changing out my 2 flooded deep cycle batteries with 2 100Ah lithium batteries. Other equipment is necessary to properly connect to battery, ie breaker, fuse, etc. Even more is needed if connected to other DC systems or an inverter.

I installed this on/in my class c rv. Installation was very easy, although I do have some pretty handy carpentry and wiring skills. If you’re halfway intelligent and know how to use a drill and a screwdriver you should be fine. Be warned, the instructions that come with it are only sorta useful. Print out the diagram above. Make sure you lay everything out and measure distances so you have enough cable. I didnt have any problems. Everything I needed was in the box and worked perfectly from the start. I’ve only had it installed for a week but so far couldn’t be happier. I made a box to inset the charge controller flush into a cabinet. I have vents top and bottom and haven’t noticed any heat buildup. If I do I may add a cooling fan. Not needed yet so far. I can highly recommend this .

This setup is the perfect kit to add a decent amount of solar to a motorhome to support 12v operation. It comes with everything you need (the panels get hooked up in series (+-+-+-+-) and the cables are all sized accordingly. I have been ‘logging on’ to the renogy app on my phone to monitor my production and consumption. Ive been very pleased with my findings. These mppt controllers are way nicer than that cheap h+rb+or freight one I started out with. Because they are wired in series the mppt controller always has enough volts to give the batteries the level they need. Sometimes it holds them at 13.7, sometimes it goes into boost mode to give them a good charge… I know just enough to be dangerous about solar, and I had no problem hooking it up or using it. If you have a screwdriver, wrench, and a drill, you can install this. Only thing you may need is a good sealant if you go thru the roof with the two solar wires.Don’t waste your money on those cheap kits with the cheap controllers. Invest in a product that will do what you want it to do, not fall short of your expectations time and time again. Highly recommend this Renogy 400w mppt solar kit. You can’t beat it for the price!!!

Installed on my motorhome, quality kit and fast shipping. I received the kit in 2 days and it arrived in great shape. The only issue I had was not with the kit but where to mount the charge controller. It is rather large and my smaller motorhome is limited on space, so I had to mount it on an interior wall, not the best look, but works great. If you are looking for a nice setup see if this fits your application. 4ea 100 watt panels, with 40A MPPT controller and Bluetooth module. Set mine up in series parallel so its like 2ea 200 watt panels.

This was easy to set up, but I did need to do an internet search to make sure I was connecting each wire to the correct polarity. I really appreciated the multiple locations to attach the brackets to the panels. The brackets attach to the panels first, so there is no worry about misalignment. We attached this to our shed and so far everything has been perfect.

If you are going to do 12v you’ll need to buy the connectors to run in parallel and get a 30a fuse. We bought it as a 12v kit and it didn’t come with those. Otherwise we are real happy with it!
