Very easy to use. I used a hair dryer to shrink it after taping it as instructed. We live in Florida and our garage gets very hot and humid in the summer. I put this on the window in the garage along with putting an insulation kit on the garage door. The combination did help somewhat but not as much as I hoped. I don’t fault this product for that though, just mother nature.

If you have windows they leak air. If you’ve never put plastic on your windows in the winter before you will be completely amazed at the difference it makes. This product is very easy to install I’m sure it saves money on your heating bill. Even if it doesn’t it definitely stops the cold drafts from blowing up the… well you know. Well worth the money. Hope this review finds you well and warm. Thanks DrF

The tape is sort of difficult to place but I finally got it down and the plastic works great! My furnace was broken for 2 weeks (in the middle of winter in Chicago might i add) so I bought this to at least keep the cold out since my bedrooms are too spacious for a space heater to really warm the room. This did the trick and the house actually felt warmer. We made it through without freezing to death in the low 20s weather

This product WILL save you money on your heating cost. I have a couple of tips for you. 1. Make sure you clean the area that the tape will be placed with alcohol or windex. It will not stick on dirty surfaces. 2. If the surface is too smooth use a little sandpaper. 3. It does stick on clean wood/ some painted wood might be a little more difficult depending on the paint finish. In all cases. Put tape on leave on for a few minutes, then rub (hard) the paper over the tape a couple of times, before you peel off (slowly) to place plastic over it. Hope this helps with your tape issues!

Got this for the 1st time..should have never waited. I’ve got a window in my house that has had a draft for awhile and i dont have the money for new windows. I’ve seen this product before and finally got it after doing everything else which still left me with a drafty window. I put this on the window and it was AMAZING you could feel the difference no more draft. Plus my 17yr old loved the idea of using the blow dryer to create the seal.

These are so easy to install and work great at keeping drafts out. It’s also a really great value because you fet enough for several windows in one box for a great price. I’m definitely going to be ordering more to get the rest of the house ready for the cold winter coming.

I have been using the Frost King line forever. Nothing is as good a value. Easy to use, stays all winter, easy to remove for spring and summer… Perfect product! Thank you Frost King. (Did I mention the price – ?, Great Value!). No more wind whistle in the back bedroom window, faces some mean wind!

Works wonders for old wooden single pane windows. My house if from 1930 or earlier and some of the windows are OLD. I used this on 2 old single pane windows and it took me about 30 min total (you’re supposed to wait 10 after peeling tape to allow it to set) including wiping surfaces and trimming excess after done. I may have messed up in any number of combined following ways: 1-didnt clean/degrease surface thoroughly enough 2- didn’t apply tape to a surface oriented ideally, or 3- over blow-dried and shrank to the point there was too much tension. I think this because on one of the windows I applied the kit to, the tape peeled off the bottom of the frame. I applied the tape to the horizontal surface which I’m guessing is the primary reason but since it didn’t come up across the whole thing and only on the one window, I’m assuming the other 2 factors contributed. There is also a possibility of being mechanically impacted because it is behind an open frame style bed headboard and may have been bumped by a pillow. Whatever the cause, I crudely fixed it with masking tape since its not really visible. When the tape peeled off I noticed only because I could feel the cold air blowing through it and there was condensation forming on the room side of the plastic from getting so cold. Once repaired it was back to being wonderfully non drafty. I would even consider use in summer if you don’t mind your blinds in a fixed positionAnother note, there really is a fair amount of material. I was a little worried since my windows are abnormally large (common for age I suppose) but there was more than enough to work with. Im very satisfied with this product

So I have been using Shrink Window kits for over a decade. I have tried so many brands. Last year I decided to use Duck and it was the worst investment ever. I went back to old faithful Frost King and will never use another product. Here’s what I like about Frost King compared to other brands:1. Thickness – A thicker film makes it easier to handle and less likely to tear as you’re working with it. It also makes it easier to heat up when you’re shrinking it.2. Adhesion – Most people don’t think about adhesion, but that is one of the most important things when it comes to keeping the wrap on for the whole year. The tape sticks to all kinds of surfaces and keeps the air out of the gaps.3. Quick Install – I happened to buy the sets that come precut to a specific size which made it easier for installation, because you can start with a basic generic size and actually cut it after installation.Overall the best product from around 4 different products from 4 different manufacturers. Stay away from DUCK as much as you can.

These window films come already pre-cut so makes it easy to handle. If you have used any of these before, they are easy to install. However it take patience and time to be done correctly. A big help on window drafts…winter electric bill will thank you
