BLUETTI EB70S Portable Power Station FAQ

Q1: How long will EB70 power my device??

A: Working time (estimation) = 716Wh* 0.85 / operating power of your device. (0.85=Conversion Rate)

Please note that the actual working time may vary under different situations.

Q2: How long will it take to fully charge this EB70 with 1 PV120?

A: It will take 7.5-8 hours under strong sunlight, but the actual time may vary due to different conditions.

Q3: Why does my PV120 cannot provide 120W of output power?

A: The actual output power will be affected by many factors such as weather, temperature, sunlight intensity, and the panel’s angle. The 120W of power is the result under perfect conditions. So to get a higher output wattage, please use it under stronger sunlight, adjust the angle, and avoid the shadow.

Q4: Do I need to purchase extra cables or controller?

A: No. EB70 has a built-in MPPT controller, which can maximize the input power, while the MC4 connectors are compatible with each other.

Got this for emergency power (in preparation for the next snowpocalypse or plain power outage). I like the fact they use the lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4), rather than lithium ion. LiFePO4 are safer, and have more charge cycle life.I read other reviews saying to charge it up, then run it all the way down, then charge it again. So, I charged it up on the 200W charger (nice!), then ran my whole computing UPS rig off of it. After 3 hours of ~115 – 150W consumption, the EB70S was down to 40% before I disconnected it. Then, I ran my TV, DVD/VCR (don’t ask), and a 60W incandescent lamp (total ~130W) for another 1.5 hours before the EB70S was down to 20%. I stopped there, and put it on the charger until I got to 60%. I could then test out the fold-out PV200 panel, and it was making 115-138+ Watts in direct sunlight, and finished off the charge in less than 3 hours. Unfortunately, I did not monitor the time as closely as I would have liked. So, this should make for a good emergency power source for some lights, internet, and TV if there’s an extended power-outage.In response to some reviewers who say it’s too easy to turn off the power to wake up the display, just briefly tap the power button for the unit’s LED light–that way, you don’t risk interrupting AC or DC power. The only change I would make would be to increase the energy storage to 800 or 900 Wh. I don’t know how feasible that would be.

I charged it up using the solar panels out of the box. It charged to full in about 2 hrs but it came mostly charged. I then used it as a test to run my 500 wh fridge for about 8hrs no problem. Worked great. Time will tell how long it lasts. My only complaint like many is that the screen only shows the charge in 20% increments making it hard to know how much life is left. And other chargers in this category have bluetooth and an app, wish this one had it.

I’m installing this in my overland trailer as my power source. Plan is for this to run my fridge, lights in my RTT and some lights on the trailer at night. Tested this with my 63qt single zone 12v fridge and was blown away by how long it will run it. Ran it on max mode the entire time and when the compressor turned on it was pulling 63w. From room temperature it cooled it to 41 deg and ran for two days and was only down to the 40% bar. Used the 200w solar panel from the package to charge it back up on a mostly sunny day and was getting on average 145-155w till the sun went down. Here in SoCal that means I have endless refrigeration and lots of surplus to charge other devices while the sun is up. I wasn’t very active chasing the sun with the panel either. It has more charging ports than I will ever use while overlanding but if anyone else needs a place to plug in while we are out it’s covered. Love that the handle folds flat when not needed so it fits in this slim drawer with ease.Cons are very easily overcome. The display turns off super fast, just tap the button for the light and it comes back on. A/C power supply for charging has a fan that runs all the time, even when not charging the unit, unplug it. That’s all I found.Highly recommended this for boondocking, overlanding or backup power. Love this little power supply.

This portable power station was able to support my CPAP machine for 5 nights. You have to turn off the moisturizer and heated tubing, but it works. Thank you Bluetti for giving me the freedom to go on extended camping trips again! I also bought the 200W solar panels. They did help too, but to be honest I was camping on the back side of Mt. Mitchell and didn’t get direct sunlight and had spotty rain clouds the whole time. I don’t feel comfortable leaving it in the rain though. It handled the high humidity just fine.

I research all of my major purchases and bought Bluetti. This is a high quality build. The Lifep04 batteries have a fast recharge time. The 200 watt solar panel arrived about 1.5 weeks before the power station. I emailed Bluetti about the delay. They quickley responded and gave me a credit back to my CC. UPS is getting more strict about battery shipments which caused the delay. Beware of other brands that are cheaper with Lithium ion batteries which have a much less recharge life cycles! Lifep04 batteries are rated for 2k to 3k recharge life cycles. The power station came with approximately 60% charge. I discharged the power station then fully charged it. GLHF!

i waited a few months to post this to be sure. I got this with the 200 watt solar panel and I love how fast it charges. I hope to get a solar roof and house battery someday. I use this to charge my AA, AAA batteries, our phones, sometimes my laptop, my shaver, my headphones, pretty much anything USB. Hope to get the Ac200 Max or even bigger someday. I have a 3 different brands of chargers and portable solar panels. So far Bluetti is my favorite.

Updated. The EB70S and the panel will likely be shipped separately. I was worried when I only received the panel but the next afternoon I received the EB70s. Bluetti answered my message quickly and gave me the requested tracking number. The unit was delivered with around 80% charge. The box only said EB70 on it however the box also said it was rated at 800w/1400w(surge) which is a EB70S. Out of the box it wirelessly charged my Samsung S9+ phone perfectly. I tested a few items without issue in the various ports. It charged up to full via the provided wall charger. I’ll update again soon.Note – some have mentioned the battery running down quickly without use. I noticed that if you keep the AC 120v output button turned on it will use 5watts powering the internal board with or without anything plugged into it. The unit would likely run down in a few days with that turned on. I’d keep the AC output turned off.

So far, I’ve no complaints about the EB70s – it should serve nicely as an RV boon-docking companion on our trips! I wanted something that had enough power to make my coffee in the morning (a five cup/600 watt Mr. Coffee) power my laptops and drones etc. as well as other such uses and not be too heavy to tote around where it would be needed. Some of the other power stations were just way to heavy for my needs even though they have more power, it’s the convenience of both portability and power I was looking for and this fits the bill.

Solar panels arrived before the EB70S even though there was only one tracking number. Thanks to prior reviews I knew they would come separately so I didn’t sweat it and indeed the EB70S arrived the following day.Packaging was top notch. The EB70S came 60% charged and after charging it to 100% I drained it down to zero and then back up to 100%. This calibrates the unit and ensures an accurate reading on the display. So far I am pleased with the units performance powering my 12V dual zone fridge/freezer while camping. I haven’t yet tested the performance of the solar panels but will update this review if I encounter a problem. I’d purchase a Bluetti again if the need arises.
